  • FY15 Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Title I Youth RFP

    Please note that a Bidder�s Conference will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 10:00 am at the BCREB Office located at 66 Allen Street in Pittsfield (Central Fire Station Building next to City Hall) to address this solicitation. Please confirm your attendance at this Bidder�s Conference to youth@berkshirereb.org. Attendance at this conference is not a requirement for response submission.

    Applications are due no later than 12 p.m. on May 2, 2014.

    All questions regarding this Request for Proposals must be submitted in writing to youth@berkshirereb.org. Please allow 24 hours for all questions and responses to be posted in the FAQ section on the BCREB website.

  • Enhanced C.N.A. Course Application - NORTH COUNTY

    Enhanced CNA course provides work readiness, medical encounter, life skills, essential math, CNA certification, and enhanced training in restorative and acute care. Although the preliminary classes already started, applications will be accepted until May 1, 2014.

  • Advanced Clinical Concepts in Geriatric Care Application

    A course in Advanced Clinical Concepts in Geriatric Care is being offered to Employed and Unemployed RNs and LPNs and nursing students graduating in the spring of 2014. This course is designed to aid practicing nurses as well as nurses wishing to obtain a position working with the elderly in identifying the scope and complexity of gerontological nursing. The course is also designed to be beneficial to LPNs seeking National Association for Practical Nurse Education and Services, INC. (NAPNES) certification in long term care. This course will run from April 14, 2014 through May 1, 2014. Please review the brochure for specific class dates and hours. 42 contact hours will be awarded upon completion of the course.

  • ESOL Enhanced Nursing Assistant Program

    The Enhanced CNA course for English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) provides English skill development needed to obtain employment in healthcare, work readiness skills, life skills, essential math, CNA certification, and enhanced training in restorative and acute care. Classes will begin on March 4, 2014 and applications are due on February 28, 2014. However, applications for this program will be considered throughout the month of March, 2014.

  • 2013-2014 STEM Teacher Externship Opportunities

    The Berkshire County Regional Employment Board (BCREB) is accepting applications for teacher externships in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) fields. Selected participants will receive a $500 stipend for 15 hours spent in a STEM externship experience in partnership with local companies.

    15 opportunities are available throughout the current 2013-2014 school year!

    Externships are opportunities for teachers to engage themselves within the business community to learn about industry-specific skills and discover real-world applications related to their curriculum. By participating in an externship, teachers are able to enrich their curriculum with learned foundational and industry-specific skills required for success in the 21st Century workplace and understand the importance of school-to-work activities for high school students.
